Today is Petey the Pig’s favorite day of the year.

Petey is very excited because this year is the Year of the Pig.

Some people think pigs are stupid and lazy,

Petey arrived to his parent’s house carrying lots of bags filled with decorations and presents.

Petey got to work stuffing the dumpling wrappers with the vegetable mixture.

He thought about how these were very important dumplings. Eating dumplings on the Chinese New Year meant the next year would be filled with wealth!

Once Petey is done stuffing the dumplings, his mom drops them carefully into the hot fryer until they are golden brown.
