Universities have different admission requirements in addition to submitting your grades from high school. Starting & Planning
To get started, we ask students to fill out our intake form. The more information you can provide the better. We highly recommend students start planning for their college application at least 2 years prior to their final year of high school. For top Universities, such as Ivy League schools, Stanford, MIT, University of Chicago and UC Berkeley, based on our experience students will have a significantly higher chance of getting accepted if they apply before the November “early action deadline”. So students can start planning to get relevant internships, volunteer experience, and extracurricular activities in their junior year or sophomore year of high school.
Once you have filled out the intake form, our admissions consulting team will assist you using the following steps:
1.Our expert admission consultant will give you a free 30 minute session to understand your goals and experience. Towards the end of the call, we will provide a month by month action plan.
2. If you are interested in studying a specific university degree, such as math, physics or engineering, you may need to take those classes in your final 2 years of high school. The sooner you plan and prepare, the better the chance you have to get into those top schools. We can help you decide the best mix of required and elective courses to take, AP or otherwise, to get into your ideal colleges.
3.Based on your intake form and your initial session, help select 3 dream schools, 3 great schools, and 3 safety schools based on your grades, experience, and academic interests. Our consultants can explain why these choices are best suited for you. In some cases, a school might not rank highly overall, however, certain programs might be well-recognized in their fields. For example, University of Colorado Boulder ranks in the top 90 to 150 internationally depending on different ranking agencies, however, the aerospace program is top 10 in the world and is recognized by some ranking agencies. You will then be assigned a specific consultant given your university choices. The consultation rate is ____ USD per hour, and our retainer is ______ USD.
In addition to the academic reputation of the University, it is important to consider other factors, such as cost of living, culture, weather and job outlook. Most of our clients are from Hong Kong, so we often recommend our students study in a more liberal, urban city.
4.Once you have written your college application essay and your resume, we will edit these documents with your.
Each college application essay takes about 3 to 5 hours to edit, we require students to be involved throughout the entire writing process. We’ll request students write a first draft on their own before we look at the essay. We are not in the business of writing essays for our students.
5.If the university you wish to attend requires an audition or interview, we can help with that too. Our consultants train and do mock interviews with you.
6.If you need help to improve our grades, we have one-on-one tutoring available in any subject, including English, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and History.
